Amy Todd, DVM

General practioner Amy Todd, DVM, has been a veterinarian at Canandaigua Veterinary Hospital since May 2009. Raised in Pennsylvania and New Jersey, Dr. Todd attended Pennsylvania State University and majored in animal bioscience. After receiving her bachelor's degree in 2002, she continued her studies at Cornell University's New York State College of Veterinary Medicine. She received her doctorate of veterinary medicine in 2006 and is specifically interested in medicine and imaging.
While in veterinary school, Dr. Todd was awarded the Gentle Doctor Award for excellent patient care, the Pfizer Clinical Award in Equine Medicine and the Grant Sherman Hopkins Award for anatomy. Before coming to Canandaigua Veterinary Hospital, she worked for several years at Genesee Valley Equine Clinic. Dr. Todd is a member of the American Veterinary Medical Association, New York State Veterinary Medical Society and the Genesee Valley Veterinary Medical Association.
Dr. Todd shares her home with husband Brian and several pets, including Rottweilers Greta and Hagen, and cats Samson, Simon and Claude. When she is not working, she prefers to spend her time cycling, reading and watching football.
